Selfridges for Less: Luxury Shopping on a Real Budget
Selfridges does not do voucher codes in the way a high street shop does. What it does do is run two enormous sales a year, clear designer stock hard, and offer free delivery codes that take the sting out of ordering online. If you want a designer bag, shoes or a big-name fragrance for a lot less, this is the plan.
The Two Sales
The winter sale starts on Boxing Day (online usually a day or two earlier) and the summer sale starts in mid June. Both begin at 30% off and drop to 50% and then 60% to 70% over about four weeks. Designer shoes, menswear and homeware go deepest. Beauty rarely goes into sale, but gift sets do.

Delivery Codes
The reliable code is free UK standard delivery, sometimes restricted to orders over £150. Standard delivery is otherwise £6, so on a sale order that is a genuine saving. Click and collect from a store is free.
How to Shop the Sale Well
- Save items to your wish list in the week before the sale; you will be notified the moment they are reduced.
- Shop online at 6am on the first day. Popular sizes go within hours.
- Selfridges price matches its own sale: if something you bought at full price in the previous 14 days goes into sale, you can request the difference.
- The Oxford Street basement and the Manchester Trafford store hold the most sale stock.
Selfridges+ and Rewards
Selfridges+ costs £10 a year and gives unlimited free delivery and returns. If you order more than twice a year it pays for itself. The Selfridges Rewards app adds occasional double-points events.
