How to Never Pay Full Price at Domino's Again

Emma Walsh Sep 3, 2026 3 min read

Walk into a Domino's and pay the menu price for a large pizza and you will hand over more than twenty pounds. Order the same pizza with the right code and you can pay half that. Domino's is built around promotions: the headline price is the anchor, and the discount is the real price. Once you understand that, the whole menu gets a lot cheaper.

Why Domino's Prices Look So High

The chain sets menu prices high on purpose so that a 40% or 50% code feels generous. Most of the money in the business is made on the deals themselves, particularly the collection offers, because collection removes the delivery cost from the equation. That is why the same store can advertise a pizza at £22.99 and happily sell it for £11.50 to anyone who typed a code.

The Codes That Actually Matter

Domino's runs three kinds of discount, and they are not equal:

  • Store-specific codes. Each franchise sets its own, usually 40% to 50% off orders over £20 to £40. These are the best value and they are the ones we track on the Domino's page.
  • National app offers. Two-for-Tuesday, meal deals and the £9.99 collection large pizza. Reliable but rarely the cheapest.
  • Student and NHS discounts. Typically 30% to 35% off; useful when no local code is running.

The Order That Wins

Codes are usually 'percentage off orders over X'. The trick is to land just over the threshold. If the code is 50% off £30, build a £31 basket of two large pizzas and pay around £15.50. Do not pad the basket with sides at full price to reach the threshold; add a second pizza instead, as pizza carries the biggest discount.

Collection is almost always cheaper than delivery. Delivery fees, small-order surcharges and the loss of collection-only deals can add six or seven pounds to a family order. If a store is within ten minutes, collect.

Things That Quietly Cost More

  • Stuffed crust and premium bases add two to three pounds and are usually excluded from percentage codes.
  • Dips, cookies and drinks are where the margin lives. Buy them from the supermarket on the way home.
  • Codes are restricted to one per order. Check whether the meal deal or the percentage code comes out cheaper before you check out.

Our Verdict

Domino's is a great takeaway if you never pay the menu price. Find your local store's current code, order collection, hit the threshold with pizza rather than sides, and you will spend about half what the menu suggests. We update the Domino's voucher list as new store codes appear.
